In the control group\nthe biological markers of OA were all significantly increased over time. But in\nthe MPA group the anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective biomarkers were\nelevated, and the inflammatory markers were reduced.<br>\n<br>\nPhysical inactivity represents the 4th leading cause of morbidity and mortality\nin the world. Regular exercise is highly beneficial for the management of many\ncommon chronic diseases, with substantial evidence for the benefits in\ncardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, and musculoskeletal conditions,\nincluding knee OA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important factors are:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Perform\n     an activity that you ENJOY! If you hate doing something, then there&#8217;s\n     little motivation to stick with it.<\/li><li>Do it\n     regularly, at least several times a week.
