Our Services / Physical Therapy
At Valley Sports Physicians, patients can benefit from on-site physical therapy and rehabilitation. Having the physicians and the therapists in the same office offers several advantages:
- A true "team" approach to your care. The physicians and therapists can more easily work together as a team, coordinating care and making treatment changes "on the fly" more easily. This enhances the quality and efficiency of care.
- Commitment to care—not to the bottom line. Stand-alone physical therapy practices obviously are in business to make money. As a result they are often forced to make business and treatment decisions based on the bottom line, rather than what is necessarily best for patient care. For example, often one therapist is treating several patients at the same time, so there is less one-on-one personal attention. Or you will see one physical therapist at your first visit, and see many different other therapists (and sometimes therapy assistants or aides) at subsequent visits. This compromises consistency and quality of care.
Because at Valley Sports Physicians we do no rely solely on our physical therapy for our income, we can afford to focus more on the quality of care. You will see the same therapist each time. Our therapists typically spend 40 minutes or more in one-on-one treatment—you’ll get quality care each time. And this often enables us to see you less frequently and for fewer visits—all with better results!
- Enhanced Education. At Valley Sports Physicians, the physicians and therapists often attend the same rehabilitation courses and seminars. This helps insure that the physical therapy you receive is exactly the therapy your doctor prescribes. It also insures that your therapist is staying up-to-date on the latest therapy approaches. In fact, at Valley Sports Physicians we send our therapists to courses that few other therapists in the entire state go to. Our therapy often succeeds where others have failed.
- Greater patient convenience. There is one less stop for you to make, one less office for you to establish a relationship with.
